Mr James Bellringer is a Consultant Urologist specialising in gender reassignment surgery in transwomen only.

James Bellringer qualified in 1982 from Pembroke College Cambridge and St Thomas’ Hospital London. Following general training and Specialist training in Urology, he became a General Urologist in West London in 1996. In 2000 he took over the Gender Surgery service at Charing Cross Hospital London, and has been doing gender surgery ever since. With the increasing demand for gender surgery, this has now become his sole clinical interest. Apart from when he is invited to collaborate with other surgeons both in the UK and abroad (he has also operated in Sweden, Holland and France), he now works exclusively at Parkside Hospital, and only sees transwomen.
