About
Mr Mathews is an experienced Consultant ENT working at The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals and Dudley Group of Hospitals. He is well trained in all aspects of ear, nose and throat disorders and head and neck cancers. His area of specialisation includes sinus disease, nasal polyps, allergies, hearing disorders, ear diseases, glue ear, rhinoplasty (nose job), snoring surgery, voice disorders, dizziness and vertigo and children's ENT disorders.
He is keen on teaching and is a Honorary Senior Lecturer at University if Birmingham and a faculty member for various training courses in the UK and abroad. He is also an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and the European Board. He has also carried out fundamental research in hearing loss and was awarded the MPhil degree for his thesis. He is a member of ENT-UK Education Committee and the NHS Clinical Coding committee. Mr Mathews has numerous publications and international presentations and is a journal reviewer for international journals like Clinical Otolaryngology, Scottish Medical Journal and Indian Journal of Otolaryngology. He is an active member of ENT-UK, British Rhinological Society and Society of Otology.
