About
Following graduation from Glasgow University in 1997, Mr Logan commenced basic surgical training in London at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and allied hospitals leading to the award of Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of both England and Glasgow.
In 2004 he completed the Football Association Clinical Research Knee Fellowship leading to a higher doctorate (MD).
He also completed a clinical Knee Fellowship with Dr Peter Myers and Dr Peter McMeniman at the Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic in Brisbane, Australia.
In 2008 he was awarded the John Insall Travelling Fellowship by the US Knee Society in recognition of his academic input to knee surgery.
Mr Logan was the first surgeon in the UK to introduce patient matched instrumentation for total knee replacement surgery and has lectured on this topic nationally and internationally.

Research
Mr Logan has published extensively in peer reviewed international orthopaedic journals in all aspects of knee surgery. In 2004 he won first prize from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for the best research in arthroscopy/sports medicine.
He has presented his research all over the world at leading international orthopaedic meetings, and is one of the authors for the 5th edition of Insall and Scott’s Surgery of the Knee textbook published this year.
Mr Logan completed the England Football Association Clinical Research Fellowship in Knee Surgery at St Mary’s Hospital in London culminating in an MD higher degree from the University of London. The title of his thesis was Analysis of the Kinematics of the Cruciate Injured Knee.
