About

I am trained in all aspects of both paediatric and adult spinal surgery, including anterior and lateral lumbar, as well as trans-thoracic surgery. My main interests lie in complex adult deformity, sagittal imbalance and metastatic disease (secondary tumours) of the spine.

Originally from Cheshire, I studied medicine at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine, graduating in 2006. I received the British Orthopaedic Research Society Student Award in 2006.

During my medical training, I undertook a degree in Materials Engineering from the renowned Materials Science department of Queen Mary, University of London, obtaining 1st class honours and the Clinical Materials Prize in 2005.

After graduation, I undertook house jobs in Chelmsford and London before taking up an Orthopaedic training post in Wessex deanery, winning the Gauvain Society Research Prize in 2017. I have undertaken advanced training in all areas of specific clinical interest, including fellowships in Southampton University Hospital, Oxford Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Groote Schuur in Cape Town and Frimley Park Hospital.

Mr Quaye also offers Spinal Robotic Assisted Navigational Surgery at Wessex Hospital.
