Mr Mohammed Patel

Mr Patel is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specialising in the full spectrum of spinal disorders, treating both adults and children from the cervical spine to the coccyx.

His particular passion lies in managing complex paediatric and adult spinal deformities, including scoliosis, and he provides expert care for conditions such as degenerative disc disease, spine fractures, back pain, sciatica, and nerve entrapment.

He practices at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, with a strong focus on complex spinal surgery. He serves as the Paediatric Spinal Lead, Clinical Governance Lead and the Nottingham representative to the East Midlands Spinal Network.

His dedication to advancing spinal care extends beyond the operating room. He has authored 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has delivered numerous podium presentations at national and international meetings, contributing to research and innovation.

Although back pain is very common, he focuses on identifying potential surgical solutions for patients who may benefit from intervention while ensuring that those who do not require surgery receive the most effective non-surgical treatments.
