About
Mr Aslam was appointed at George Eliot Hospital (GEH), Nuneaton, in May 2022, where he is the lead surgeon for inflammatory bowel disease and specialises in laparoscopic surgery for complex and recurrent Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis and surgery for cancer.
After graduating from Nishtar Medical College, Multan, Pakistan, Mr Aslam completed his surgical fellowship at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, before moving to the UK where he went on to specialise in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery.
Mr Aslam completed his laparoscopic colorectal fellowship at Warwick Hospital and then undertook further advanced laparoscopic training in Strasburg, France.
His practice includes laparoscopic colorectal cancer and benign surgery, proctology (surgery for haemorrhoids, anal fissures and anal fistulae) and pelvic floor diseases. In addition, he performs laparoscopic cholecystectomies, laparoscopic hernia repairs, emergency surgery and diagnostic as well as therapeutic endoscopy (Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy).
Mr Aslam is an accredited bowel cancer screening programme (BCSP) colonoscopist, who also performs endoscopic polypectomies for large and complex colonic polyps.

He has presented both nationally and internationally at meetings within the surgical field and is involved with surgical trials at University of Birmingham, Warwick and George Eliot Hospitals.
