He has a special interest and expertise in the management of patients complaining of nasal symptoms such as blockage and catarrh. He has also developed his skills the treatment of sinus disorders which includes diagnosis, medical treatment, and when needed, an ability to perform advanced sinus surgery.
As a qualified Head and Neck Surgeon Mr De Zoysa has significant experience in the early diagnosis and prevention of Head and Neck cancer, with a special interest in the throat and voice box where patients can present with change in their voice and a feeling of a lump in their throat. He has specialist skills in the management of thyroid and other neck conditions such as the salivary glands. He uses advanced energy devices to minimise blood loss and neuromonitoring to protect important nerves.
Mr De Zoysa has a comprehensive experience in children’s ENT which allows him to use specialist coblation surgery in selected cases for tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy with less pain and bleeding than traditional methods. He can also use this technique to treat tonsil stones and snoring. Mr De Zoysa was trained in London at Guys and St Georges hospital, as well as the Evelina Children’s hospital.
He has undertaken International Fellowship level training in Head & Neck and Skull Base surgery including the prestigious Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane Australia.
Neil has a special interest in the treatment of Thyroid cancer as well as all other cancers in the head and neck in both adults and children.
