About
Mr Forouhi attended medical school in Edinburgh and trained in general surgery at Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He received his specialist training in breast surgery at the Edinburgh Breast Unit and has practised breast surgery as a consultant since 1996 in London and since 2004 in Cambridge.
He provides all services in relation to the assessment and treatment of breast disorders. This includes the full range of surgical treatments.
Mr Forouhi also
performs general surgery, including hernia repair and he is now able to
offer the open, meshless “Shouldice” hernia repair technique.
Other interests
Mr Forouhi contributes data about the outcomes of his operations to the Association of Breast Surgery, Breast Screening Audit and to the Breast Cancer Clinical Outcomes project (BCCOM audit). He also acts as a supervisor to trainee breast surgeons in the NHS. He is a clinical teacher and examiner for Cambridge University medical students. Mr Forouhi has published papers relating to surgical techniques and better treatment of breast diseases.
