Mr Carter qualified in 1983 from St Bartholomew’s Hospital London. He has 20 years experience as a gynaecologist and now working as a consultant at St Georges Hospital London where he is the Lead Clinician for colposcopy including a vulval clinic.
Mr Carter is a member of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and The British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS). The Colposcopy Unit sees over 3,000 women per year – 1,000 of whom are new referrals. He carries out over 500 treatments per annum – the majority in the clinic setting under Local anaesthetic.
He runs a specialist clinic for vulval disorders which also has input from a dermatologist and Genito-Urinary Medicine physician.
