About

Mr Gillespie qualified from University College Dublin Medical School in 1993 and trained in orthopaedics in Leeds. Further Fellowship training was undertaken in lower limb arthroplasty and arthroscopy in Australia and pelvic and acetabular reconstruction at St George’s Hospital, London.

He was appointed a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at St George’s Hospital in April 2010. His interests include hip and knee joint replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction, pelvic, acetabular and general trauma.

He is an Educational and Clinical Supervisor and Honorary Lecturer for undergraduate medical students and postgraduate orthopaedic trainees and is actively involved in research.
