Paul Harris is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in London and has been working exclusively in private practice since 2018. Previously he was the President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), and the Clinical Lead and Medical Director of Private Care at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He has appeared in Tatler’s Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery guide as best for breast surgeons for the last 6 years.

Mr Harris’ expertise lies in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast. In addition, he performs a wide range of reconstructive procedures, particularly after breast cancer treatment, secondary revisional surgery of the breast and breast reduction.

Mr Harris is an internationally renowned surgeon and frequently lectures on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He has authored over 50 journal articles and several book chapters.

Mr Harris is listed on the GMC specialist register and is a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).

Mr Harris is married to another doctor and they have three young adult children, one still at university. He enjoys skiing, cycling, walking and exercising and spends time away from work in the Alps.

Research

In 1999, Mr Harris was awarded the higher post-graduate degree of Doctorate in Medicine (MD) having spent two years at the Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust (RAFT) developing a laboratory produced artificial skin replacement. This research was sponsored by The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Throughout his career, Mr Harris has continued to publish his work within the plastic surgery and scientific literature, and present nationally and internationally at plastic surgery conferences. He is actively involved in teaching at postgraduate level and has lectured at the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) instructional meetings.
