About
Mr MacKeith is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon at Nuffield Health the Manor Hospital, Oxford and was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the John Radcliffe Hospital in 2015 with a specialist interest in skull base and neurotology.
He qualified from Bristol Medical School in 2002. His post-graduate surgical training was undertaken in the South-West of England and in the Oxford deanery. He undertook additional sub-specialist fellowship training over 3 years, initially as the Oxford Regional Otology Fellow, a further year spent abroad gaining experience in neurotology in Buenos Aires, Argentina as well as an observership at the House Ear Clinic, Los Angeles, USA. His 3rd year of specialist fellowship training was at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge as the neurotology skull base fellow where he also obtained an MPhil.
Mr MacKeith is general ENT surgeon and is available to see all general adult and paediatric ENT problems. He has a specialist interest in problems of the ear including hearing loss, ear infections, vertigo, dizziness and tinnitus. In his NHS practice Mr MacKeith is a core member of the Oxford Auditory Implant MDT, Skull Base MDT and the Neurofibromatosis Type 2 MDT.

General ENT adult and paediatric. Otology including ear infections, ear drum perforation, hearing loss, ear wax, tinnitus, dizziness, vertigo.

Skull base problems including CSF leak, acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannomas) and glomus tumours.
Personal interests
When not working Mr MacKeith enjoys spending time with his young family.

Research
Mr MacKeith has a keen interest in research and education. He has an active role in teaching the Oxford University undergraduates as well as providing educational supervision for trainee surgeons. He has published over 20 peer reviewed papers relating to all areas of ENT especially in the field of otology. He has co-authored 3 book chapters and has presented nationally and internationally winning prizes. During his final fellowship year he undertook research investigating novel treatments for acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannomas) for which he was awarded an MPhil from Cambridge University.
