About
Mr Shakeeb Khan qualified in 2002 from India, and then underwent basic surgical training in Yorkshire, where he completed his surgical research and was awarded an MD. He was then selected for higher surgical training in the Midlands, where he trained in General Surgery as well as organ transplantation.
He was appointed as a Consultant Renal Transplant and General Surgeon at Southmead Hospital in 2017. His main areas of practice include hernia surgery and renal transplantation, and he is also involved in teaching medical students (lead for year 5 medical students). In addition to his role at Southmead, Mr Khan also serves as an honorary Consultant Transplant Surgeon at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
