About

Mr Shanaka Senevirathna joined the NHS UK in 2006. He has worked as a Consultant Knee Surgeon at New Cross Hospital and Cannock Chase Hospital in West Midlands since 2021. He is a Trainer and the Educational Lead for the Senior Fellow Doctors in the Orthopaedic department of Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust.

Mr Senevirathna has undergone advanced fellowship training in knee surgery in some of the world-renowned hospitals in the UK including Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital, Royal Derby Hospital and at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. 

He is extensively trained in sports knee injuries and offers non-surgical and surgical treatments for a wide range of Soft Tissue Injuries and Osteoarthritis of the Knee. He also possesses a special interest in Patellofemoral pathologies in young adults.
