About

Mr Supratik Chattopadhyay is a senior Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon. They are highly skilled in advanced laparoscopic and robotic (key-hole) surgery. Mr Chattopadhyay qualified in 1997 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG).

He is a highly experienced gynaecologist, offering a wide range of services in general gynaecology, including the management of menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, menopausal problems and surgical treatment of endometriosis and fibroids. He also offers diagnostic gynaecology services including colposcopy, diagnostic hysteroscopy & myosure, endometrial ablation, laparoscopic (key-hole) and robotic (key-hole) procedures for the treatment of gynaecological conditions including ovarian cysts in addition to robotic & total laparoscopic hysterectomy and open hysterectomy procedures.

Mr Chattopadhyay also specialises in the surgical treatment of endometrial (womb) cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, vaginal and vulval cancer. He offers sentinel lymph node mapping and excision for gynaecological cancers. He offers cytoreductive surgery and pelvic exenterative surgery for advanced and recurrent gynaecological cancers.

Personal interests

Mr Chattopadhyay is married with one daughter. He loves to go on long drives with his family. He also enjoys cycling and goes for runs with his daughter on the weekends. He was a junior level state singles and doubles tennis champion in Venezuela in 1983. Currently he coaches his daughter and plays tennis at least twice a week. He also enjoys playing cricket during the summer as a batsman and a legspinner.

He has several peer reviewed publications in the field of gynaecological oncology. Mr Chattopadhyay is also a reviewer of the British Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and the European Journal of Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Reproductive Biology. His current research interests are endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer treatment and cervical pre-cancer.
