About

Mr Yoon is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon appointed at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham and the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.  He graduated from University College London and The Middlesex Hospital, training in Orthopaedic Surgery on the prestigious Royal London Hospital Programme. He completed his Orthopaedic training in 2012 and undertook (post-CCT) dual complex Spine fellowship training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London and The Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia working with the top Australian spinal surgeons. 

Mr Yoon has conferred the Charles Manning award for his work on early onset scoliosis in 2013

Mr Yoon is available to see all spinal problems including lumbar spine disorders, spinal surgery, back pain, sciatica, spinal infection, spinal tumour, neck surgery, cervical pathology, and neck pain, microdiscectomy and minimally invasive spinal surgery.

He specialises in paediatric and adult deformities and is a member of the British Scoliosis Society and Scoliosis Research Society.

He is chief investigator for the NIHR Magec rods Metallosis trial in Early Onset Scoliosis and Principle Investigator on the NIHR BOOST trial - Better Outcomes for Older people with Spinal Trouble.
