About

Ms Alpa Shah completed postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Baroda Medical College, Gujarat, India in 1993. She passed her MRCOG in 1999. She obtained further training in West Midlands and North West region, during which she also completed Diploma in Obstetric Ultrasound (DOU) and Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCME). She started as a Consultant at Newham Hospital in 2006. She became a fellow of the RCOG in 2010.

She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and is MRCOG examiner for Royal College of Obstetrician & Gynaecologist.

Special interests

General gynaecology: menstrual disorders, fibroids, pelvic pain, polycystic ovaries, infertility, menopausal health, pelvic organ prolapse and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.
