About

Trained in North-East London, Moorfield rotation as Specialist Registrar. Undertook clinical fellowship in squint and eye movement disorders in adults and children at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. Experienced in modern micro-incision cataract surgery, squint surgery, eyelid disorders, watery eyes investigation and treatment, and removal of lumps and cysts in the area around the eyes. Undertakes training and teaching of trainee eye surgeons, nurses, and medical students. Apart from publications in peer-reviewed journals, has authored patient safety pathways including Locssips (Local safety standards for surgical invasive procedure) for cataract, squint, laser, and intravitreal injections at the NMUH Trust. Provided clinical governance and risk assessment for the ophthalmology dept at the Trust.

Miss Raina runs a UK-based charity Serve2see and volunteers her services in rural areas overseas. The charity also funds cataracts and other complicated surgeries in secondary and tertiary reputable centres for the economically underprivileged. See https://serve2see.org/and Facebook page.
