About

Ms Malar Raja is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital, specialising in general gynaecology, and has developed a special interest in urogynaecology, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, post menopausal bleeding and colposcopy. She performs  minimal access surgical procedures, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, latest procedures for menorrhagia, dysmenorrhoea, prolapse surgery, laparoscopy, abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, oophorectomy and pelvic floor repairs.

Ms Raja graduated from Madras Medical College, India before completing her postgraduate training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the East of England Deanery. During her consultant career, Ms Raja has developed a special interest in Urogynaecology and minimal access surgery. 

As a compassionate, hard-working and enthusiastic doctor, Ms Raja strives to maintain a high level of skills and knowledge in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and consistently deliver excellent quality of care for patients.
 
Ms Raja has been a consultant at Basildon University Hospital since 2017, playing a key role in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team. She is a certified Colposcopist with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and has been the MSE Lead Colposcopist since 2023.
