About

Professor David Lloyd is a world-renowned laparoscopic surgeon who has been offering high-quality surgery in Leicester and the East Midlands for more than 30 years.

He specialises in all types of hernia repair which includes laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, femoral hernia repair, and umbilical hernia repair.

He repairs large abdominal hernias but often these are done with open conventional surgery.

He is an expert in groin pain, sportsman’s groin and Gilmore’s groin. He has developed a unique operation called the Lloyd Release procedure and has operated on many sporting legends such as Jamie Vardy, Peter Crouch, Shane Williams and Michael Carrick.

He also specialises in gallbladder surgery for gallstones and performs laparoscopic cholecystectomies on a weekly basis.
