I have an appointment booked soon with a Nuffield Health hospital, what happens now?
We are open for new referrals and are offering online consultations to our patients. We are working with the NHS to determine the most clinically appropriate diagnostic tests or procedures to carry out at this time and will only be offering face-to-face appointments for patients meeting these criteria.

Are their financial incentives for Nuffield Health to support the NHS? Is Nuffield Health being paid by the NHS?
The Charity will be reimbursed at cost meaning no profit will be made and it will be audited by external auditors. This is an unprecedented time, as the UK’s largest healthcare charity we have a huge role to play in supporting the NHS patients in our local communities across the nation.
If I have paid for my surgery or procedure, how long will it take for me to get a refund if I do not wish to wait for it to be rebooked?

Yes. We’re offering online therapies, including online self help and video sessions.

We will be providing a free GP telephone service to our patients and client employees to support them with their health needs while their health assessment is rescheduled.
Can Nuffield Health test for coronavirus?
As COVID-19 is a public health issue and requires ongoing monitoring by Public Health England, we are not able to conduct testing for COVID-19 in the independent sector. The only validated test available is via designated Public Health England laboratories and are now only being conducted in the acute NHS setting, with all results being verified by the Public Health England laboratory in Colindale.
