Miss Suzanne Biers is an experienced urological surgeon working in Cambridge. She has a subspecialist interest in bladder problems in both men and women, including urinary incontinence, bothersome urinary symptoms, urinary tract infections, inflammatory conditions of the bladder, benign prostate enlargement, neurourology, and urethral stricture disease.
She qualified from St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London with a distinction in Surgery and completed a postgraduate degree in bladder dysfunction at Oxford University. She has trained in several specialist centres and teaching Hospitals including The Churchill Hospital in Oxford and University Hospital Southampton. She gained additional fellowship experience in incontinence and bladder dysfunction surgery at University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust, University College Hospital in London and during a European Association of Urology fellowship to Leuven in Belgium. She was appointed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge as a Urology Consultant in 2012.She has authored 7 books, published multiple book chapters and peer-reviewed journal papers. Suzanne has been on the committee for UK NICE guidelines, is the Clinical Lead for the International ARU Urology Masters Degree Programme, and is secretary of the executive committee for the Female Section of the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
