Lacrimal surgery at Chichester Hospital
- Overview
If conservative methods to treat lacrimal disorder are not successful, a consultant may recommend surgery.
Tears in your eyes are produced by your lacrimal glands near the outer corners of your eyes. Lacrimal disorders include:
- Not enough tear production (dry eyes)
- Reduced tear drainage (blocked tear ducts)
- Infections or irritations around the eyes or eyelids
The type procedure will depend on your own situation. Be sure and discuss the details with your surgeon.
