Give us a call
During your stay here at Nuffield Glasgow Hospital we aim to make your experience the most comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. You will be looked after by a multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and support staff. So you are able to identify us, we all wear name badges with our job title in clear display.
We are managed on a day-to-day basis by our senior management team, comprising of our Matron, Health System Director and Operational Manager. This team is fully responsible for the hospital staff, consultants and wellbeing of patients using the facility. They are also responsible for the clinical standards, cleanliness, and customer care as well as the financial management of the hospital.
Our nursing team are on hand 24 hours a day to look after your every need. Each nurse will provide a full handover at the end of their shift to the next nurse in charge of your care, so they are always fully informed. To ensure you are fully informed our nursing team will involve you in your treatment plan, as much as possible.
Our theatres are fully equipped with the latest technology and our theatre team is highly experienced in all aspects of elective surgery from minor day-case procedures to complex surgical interventions.
Infection control and our attention to cleanliness are top priority, and a dedicated hygiene team ensures that infection rates are extremely low. This team is overseen by our Matron to ensure we maintain the highest standard.
Consultants
Our consultants have all fulfilled rigorous eligibility criteria and each one is also registered with the appropriate professional organisation for the area in which they specialise. They will lead your care, providing a careful and individual treatment plan from surgery through to recovery.
Consent
You will be required before any surgical procedure to sign a consent form. It is very important to us that you understand fully what is involved in your care and treatment with us so any concern is never too small. Our expert team are always on hand to explain procedures, treatment plans and your recovery so please do not hesitate to ask one of our team for help.
Resident medical officer (RMO)

Whilst your consultant is responsible for your care, it is impossible for them to be on site 24 hours a day. The RMO will be on hand to assist any consultant and/or nurse caring for you. We hope this helps put your mind at ease.
