Your Visitors at Ipswich
All you and your visitors need to know about your stay at Ipswich
Visiting hours
Your visitors are welcome throughout the day however we encourage all patients to rest between 2pm and 4pm and would therefore suggest that visits are planned around this quiet time.
Your recovery is of paramount importance and you may find that you are very tired following surgery. With this in mind visitors are encouraged to leave by 9pm. Please be mindful of other patients who may be resting whilst you are receiving your visitors. If you do not wish it to be known that you are in the hospital, please inform reception.
Security
All visitors to the ward may be asked to sign in and out of our visitor's book at reception on every occasion and they may be given a security badge to wear while they are on hospital premises.
External CCTV is in operation at the hospital as an additional precaution. If you are aware of or suspect any threat to security please inform a member of staff as soon as possible.
Car Parking
Free car parking is available at the hospital but this can be limited during peak times.
Taxis
Should you or your visitors require taxi services, the main reception team will be happy to arrange this for you.
Visitor meals
Your visitors are welcome to dine with you and can choose from our daily menu. Orders will be taken by the ward hostess. For the full range of dishes to be available we would appreciate orders for lunch by 11am and dinner by 4pm. Please note that payment is required at the time of ordering visitor’s meals, and we are unable to accept card payments.
