How does a virtual consultation work?

Just like a face-to-face appointment, during a virtual consultation you will receive expert, one-on-one care from our world-class consultants to help you return to optimum health as soon as possible.

Your specialist will listen to you carefully, taking into account your condition and previous medical history to help diagnose and recommend the best treatment going forward, all in the comfort of your own home. If any prescriptions are required, these will be made electronically.

Your consultant will ensure they are in a private space where they cannot be overheard. Please make sure you are set up in a comfortable and private environment as you will be discussing your private medical history. The video is not stored so will not be shared with anyone.

The virtual consultation will work on your computer, tablet or smart phone. Ensure you select ‘front camera’ before you connect. All consultations via video or telephone will be the same length as a face-to-face appointment and all major insurers are now covering remote consultations but, please do check this with your insurer when authorising your appointment.
