All you need to know about your stay at Woking Hospital
During your stay, you will be looked after by our multidisciplinary care team. So you can easily identify them each member of the team, we wear a name badge that includes our job title.
Woking hospital is managed on a day-to-day basis by a senior management team comprising the Hospital Director, Sales and Services Manager, Matron and Finance Manager. This team is responsible for the hospital staff, consultants and wellbeing of patients using the facility. They are also responsible for the clinical standards, cleanliness, and customer care as well as the financial management of the hospital.
Our nursing team are available to you 24 hours a day. You will be cared for by a team of nurses and each nurse will provide their colleagues with a thorough handover so they are always fully informed. To ensure that you receive the best possible treatment our nursing team will involve may every attempt to involve you in the planning of your care.
Resident Medical Officer (RMO)
Whilst your treatment and care is the responsibility of your admitting consultant, it is not possible for them to be on site in the hospital 24 hours a day. Each Nuffield Health Hospital has an RMO - a doc tor who stays on site 24 hours a day. The RMO is on hand to assist the consultant and nurses in caring for you - providing the treatment you need in the consultant's absence.
Chaperone
A chaperone (usually a nurse) will always be available to lend you support before and during your investigations and procedures. Please ask if you would like a member of the nursing team to stay with you during your consultation, examination or treatment.
Consent
Before any surgical procedure you will also be asked to sign a consent form. It is important that you fully understand your treatment so please remember that no concern is too small. Our staff are always available to discuss any concerns or question you may have about your treatment or recovery.
Student Nurses
We may have student nurses training in our hospital. If you would prefer not to be seen by a student nurse, please let us know.
