Gain invaluable insights into your current physical condition

In today’s world, optimising health and performance and maximising life expectancy goes far beyond hitting the gym or following a basic fitness plan. Whether you’re an athlete, a busy professional, or simply someone looking to take their health and fitness to the next level, understanding your body’s current condition is key.

Our Advanced Health & Performance Package is designed to give you a comprehensive look at your current health, fitness, and performance levels, helping you make informed decisions about your wellbeing.

What’s included in the package

Our all-inclusive package covers a range of diagnostic tests and assessments that measure both your health and your performance capabilities.

Each component of the package is tailored to provide you with actionable insights, so you can build a roadmap for improving your health and achieving enhanced performance.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s included:

1. Blood screen

A blood screen offers valuable insights into your overall health. This can help understand your diabetes risk, lipid profile, kidney and liver function and a full blood count.

An in-depth review will be discussed in your follow-up consultation to give you a greater understanding of the result and your current health status.

2. ECG (electrocardiogram)

Your heart is the engine of the body, and an ECG is the first tool for assessing heart health. It monitors the electrical activity of your heart, helping to potentially identify any underlying issues.

Understanding your heart health is crucial for optimising your fitness and preventing cardiovascular risks.

3. Blood pressure measurement

High blood pressure is often a silent condition without symptoms, but it’s one that can have serious consequences for both your long-term health and fitness.

Regular blood pressure monitoring helps ensure that you’re managing this aspect of your health, so you can safely push your physical limits without unnecessary risks.

4. Body composition assessment – DEXA Scan

A DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scan is a medical imaging technique that measures fat mass and lean muscle mass. It uses low-dose X-rays to differentiate between various body tissues, providing a detailed analysis of body composition.

It is considered the best method for assessing body composition due to its high accuracy, precision, and ability to measure fat distribution, including visceral fat (internal fat that surrounds the organs). Unlike other methods, DEXA is non-invasive, quick, and offers a comprehensive view of body composition, making it ideal for monitoring health, fitness, and metabolic risks.

5. Strength profiling  force plates and isokinetic dynamometer

Strength isn’t just about how much you can lift – it’s about how efficiently your body generates and applies force.

Using advanced tools like force plates and an isokinetic dynamometer, we assess key aspects of your strength, including maximal force output as well as any asymmetries between limbs. These metrics help us determine your physical strengths and weaknesses, providing a clear picture of areas for improvement.

6. Grip strength assessment

While often overlooked, grip strength is an excellent indicator of overall muscle health and functionality and has also been found to be a stronger predictor of all-cause mortality than systolic blood pressure. A simple yet powerful test, grip strength correlates with general fitness, and even longevity.

Regular assessments can help track improvements in strength and provide insights into your upper body performance

7. VO2 max testing

VO2 max is considered the gold standard for cardiovascular and aerobic fitness. By measuring the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilise during exercise, VO2 max testing provides an objective benchmark for your aerobic capacity.

Whether you’re training for a specific event or just aiming to improve endurance, this test gives you a clear measure of your cardiovascular health and performance potential.

Personalised consultations – initial and follow-up

We believe that data is only valuable when it’s interpreted correctly. That’s why each participant in our Advanced Health & Performance Package receives two personalised consultations:

  • Initial consultation: You’ll meet with a Sports and Exercise Medicine consultant to discuss your motivations behind carrying out the package and run through your pre-screening questionnaire.
  • Follow-up consultation: After completing your assessments, we’ll review your results and establish a clear plan for improving your health and performance. During this session, we’ll assess your health metrics and advise you on the next steps to improving your health and performance.

Why choose our Advanced Health & Performance Package?

With this package, you’re not just getting a set of measurements – you’re gaining a comprehensive, science-backed understanding of your body’s strengths, weaknesses, and overall health.

Whether you’re aiming to improve your fitness, prevent health issues, or enhance your athletic performance, the insights gained from these tests will help you optimise every aspect of your physical health.

  • Holistic Health Assessment: Our package doesn’t just focus on one aspect of health but offers a well-rounded view of your body’s current physical condition.
  • Actionable insights: Each test is designed to give you clear, actionable data that you can use to improve your health and performance.
