Blood in urine (Haematuria)

If you notice a red or brown tint in your urine you should see your GP.

Although rarely serious, blood in your urine can be the sign of another medical problem such as:

Please note that if you have eaten any beetroot recently, it can cause your urine to turn pink. In addition some medications such as antibiotics can cause urine discolouration.
