Our Partners
Working with partners is part of our DNA. We work with a mix of partners to help us deliver on our purpose to build a healthier nation. Our partners are at both a national and a local level; from supplier relationships, to sponsorship opportunities and collaborations.
Manchester Metropolitan University
We are working with Manchester Metropolitan University to produce best-in-class evidence-based research for improved customer and patient outcomes. As a result of this partnership we will identify preventative pathways to inform public policy and practise and will support academics in research and development to address society’s healthcare needs which are not currently being met.
Leicester University
We are working with Leicester Real World Evidence Unit to bring together experts across health specialisms, employing computing and machine learning to leverage existing data and pioneer future health and wellbeing service delivery. Through utilising anonymised data sets, the partnership will be able to track the impact of interventions and utilise evaluations to identify opportunities for new and improved services.
Sheffield University
We are partnering with Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield to complete STAMINA, a five-year research project funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The programme is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of a long term supported exercise intervention in men with advanced prostate cancer who have undergone medical castration with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). This is the largest study of its kind to date.
The English Football Association
We are working with The English Football Association as its ‘Official Health and Wellbeing Partner of the England Teams’; further cementing our commitment to improving the health of the nation. England teams rely on experts on and off the pitch to perform at their best, and we understand that everyone’s health and wellbeing needs the right support. Our shared ambition for the partnership is to raise awareness of the importance of positive mental and physical wellbeing, whilst also developing a series of initiatives which give people of all ages the tools and encouragement to live a healthier life.
Access Sport
We are partnering with Access Sport to bring more young people into community sport and help inspire the next generation of community leaders.
By combining our world-class facilities and expert team with the award-winning community sport development model pioneered by Access Sport, we're brilliantly positioned to give young people in Greater Manchester the tools they need to live a healthier life.
This ground-breaking project will see us combine resources and expertise to tackle the unmet needs of 15,000 disadvantaged local young people and their families in the next two years.
