About

Dr Iqbal studied Medicine at The University of Bristol, qualifying in 2010. He completed his radiology training on the Wales Training Scheme and subsequently undertook a Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham in 2018.

He was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Swansea Bay University Health Board in 2019 and specialises in all forms of musculoskeletal radiology with a particular interest in musculoskeletal intervention and the imaging of sports injuries. He is one of the lead radiologists for the South Wales Sarcoma MDT. 

Dr Iqbal has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research internationally. He has also written chapters in books such as Imaging of Joint Prostheses and Imaging the ACL.

When he is not ferrying them around, Dr Iqbal loves to spend quality time with his two young children and wife who is a GP partner in Bristol.
