About
Geoff Graham specialises in shoulder and elbow surgery and has been a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the University Teaching Hospital in Cardiff since 1991. He undertakes only shoulder and elbow surgery and his special interests are in sports injuries, rotator cuff problems and frozen shoulder. He does however treat all types of shoulder and elbow problems. He developed an interest in shoulder and sports surgery due to injuries he sustained to his own shoulders while playing rugby for Wasps as a medical student.
The majority of the surgery he performs is arthroscopic (keyhole) although he also has a large experience of open surgery and through experience has developed the procedures he uses over a number of years. He has access to the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment uses the most appropriate and innovative techniques.
Other interests
Geoff was a founder and Course Director of the Cardiff MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine at The University of Wales Institute Cardiff and remains closely connected with the course. He is Honorary Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
