About
I was born and raised in Canada. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario Canada in Microbiology and Immunology. I was offered a full academic scholarship at the University of Athens School of Medicine where I completed my medical training. I also completed a Master’s Degree in Metabolic Diseases of Bone. I completed my orthopaedic registrar training at a tertiary trauma and elective centre in Athens Greece.
I have also post CCT training with professor Dean Sotereanos at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Centre in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA.
I am upper limb fellowship trained at the Royal London Hospital and Newham University Hospital in London and at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.
I am currently a substantive trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty in upper limb surgery at York Teaching Hospitals, Scarborough General Hospital.
I am certified to perform Wide Awake No Tourniquet Surgery WALANT and have set up a wide awake surgery service at Scarborough General Hospital.

Research
During the completion
of my Master’s Degree in Metabolic Diseases of Bone, I researched vitamin D
levels in healthy adult males and correlated these levels to the subjects’
lifestyles (levels of sun exposure, diet, exercise, smoking, BMI, etc.). My research
was published in a peer-reviewed paper. I have also been published in other
peer-reviewed papers.
