Achilles repair or reconstruction

Subtalar arthroscopy

Tendon transfer in foot and ankle

The tissue that attaches muscles to a bone is called a tendon. A tendon transfer usually is performed under a general anaesthetic.

Toe joint fusion

If the stiffness in your big toe (hallux rigidus) does not respond to conservative treatment your consultant may recommend toe fusion.

Toe joint replacement

When conservative treatments do not resolve big toe stiffness (hallux rigidus) or when the joint is severely damaged your consultant may recommend toe joint replacement.

Toe surgery

The three main toe problems that can be resolved with foot surgery are Deformity (mis-shapen), Pain in the toe joints and Metatarsalgia (pain in the front part or ball of your foot).
