Excision vaginal lumps at Exeter Hospital
- Overview
If lumps in your vaginal area do not respond to conservative treatment, your gynaecologist may recommend removing them. The length and complexity of this procedure will depend on the size and location of the lump.
Prior to excision, your surgeon may examine the lump using a colposcope (colposcopy). They may also take a sample of the lump and the tissue surrounding it for analysis in a laboratory.
Our experienced consultant gynaecologists can diagnose and treat vaginal lumps in our clean, comfortable hospitals.
