Children’s Services at Leicester Hospital

Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital is one of the few private hospitals in the East Midlands with a team of expert paediatric consultants and children’s nurses that can see children of any age, for a variety of conditions.

Children from birth can be seen in our outpatient department and children from 3 years old and above as an inpatient.

Helping your child feel at home

We have a dedicated and secure ward for children, with a fully-equipped playroom, child-friendly rooms with TV and a private en-suite bathroom. We can also make provisions for parents to stay with their child throughout their stay.

Our specialist children’s team

The ward is run by a dedicated children’s nursing team, who will be present for the duration of your child’s journey, along with our resident medical officer to ensure your child is cared for in a safe and caring environment.

Meet Nuffy Bear

Going for a hospital procedure may be a little daunting. Nuffy Bear will help to guide your child through the process in an interactive booklet.

Your very own Nuffy Bear will be waiting for your child when they arrive and will be with them throughout their journey, your child will also receive the all-important bravery certificate to take home with them.

During the process, we also have a Nuffy Bear feedback form which helps your child communicate how they felt in hospital throughout their journey with us. We use this information to develop and improve our services.
