Every course of treatment starts with a 45-minute initial assessment to assess your symptoms, then recommend the right plan for you and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time. *Treatment price does not include specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointments.

I completed my Physiotherapy degree at the University of Plymouth in 2010, and since graduating have spent over a decade working in the NHS, the majority of which was in Musculoskeletal services.

I have a vast experience of treating patients across the full range musculoskeletal pathologies, as well as orthopaedic patients. Over the years, I have developed skills working with many different conditions and stages of injury, e.g. acute, sub-acute, and chronic.

I am able to draw on my experience to adjust both my assessments and treatments to fit each individual patient’s need. I use a wide range of treatment techniques, including exercise prescription, manual therapy, education and advice, which will be adapted as required to each patient.

How can I help you improve your health?

I completed my Physiotherapy degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1988, followed by a two year post-graduate certificate in acute medicine.

During my physiotherapy career I have worked extensively within the South African national health system and the private sector. I have a wealth of experience in the treatment of postoperative conditions, including hip and knee replacements, as well as complex lower limb reconstruction surgery. Previous roles have included working at a large national health hospital in Johannesburg, with rotation and special interest in intensive care work.

I have also worked in several private hospitals, covering both musculoskeletal conditions, as well as inpatient work, and owned a private practice in South Africa for 4 years. I have also the managed the physiotherapy services in Bristol for the last 10 years, as well as health assessments at other sites.

My treatment approach is adapted to each individual’s requirements, and we work in close conjunction with the consultant, to ensure the best outcomes for the patient, with particular attention given to functional goals.

After graduating in 2006 from Oxford Brookes University I have worked for both the NHS and private sector in a variety of musculoskeletal settings. These ranged from GP clinics to a large London hospital. This role also gave me the opportunity to teach university students and newly qualified graduates.

During my physiotherapy career I have developed skills in the assessment and treatment of sporting and non-sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, soft tissue injuries, low back and neck pain and antenatal/ postnatal patients. Whilst working in the NHS I developed a specialist interest in vestibular rehabilitation and treating individuals with dizziness disorders such as positional vertigo.

I use a range of treatment techniques including hands on manual therapy, exercise prescription and advice as part of an individualised treatment plan. Outside of work I am a keen swimmer and run regularly, most recently while pushing my double running pram!

I started working in the independent sector in 1995 and since then I have specialised in orthopaedic rehabilitation and the treatment of joint replacements, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal injuries.

I graduated from Brunel University in 2001 with a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. I have spent many years working in large NHS teaching hospitals in London and Bristol, in a variety of specialist musculoskeletal settings. I have also worked with sports teams, as well as working at rugby league player development camps at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre. 

Previous roles have included working in specialist spinal clinics within the NHS. I have a vast experience in assessing and treating spinal pain, my treatment approach is personalised to the individual using specific exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue release and spinal mobilisation techniques. I specialise in pelvic, obstetric and gynaecological physiotherapy. This includes pelvic floor rehabilitation for bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy related back and pelvic girdle pain, post-natal pelvic floor and abdominal rehab, and post-operative gynaecological rehabilitation.

I am also a certified Mummy MOT practitioner, a specialised post natal assessment recommended for all women following delivery - from 6 weeks to many years later. In the Mummy MOT, I assess the strength and function of the tummy and pelvic floor muscles to help prevent long term childbirth-related complaints such as incontinence, lower back pain and 'mummy tummy'.

Based at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital, I work closely with the consultant gynaecologists and run clinics on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

After graduating from the University of the West of England in 2011, I worked in the NHS, completing rotations in all core aspects of physiotherapy, and I went on to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
I have experience of working with clients with a broad range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, and I am constantly utilising the numerous assessment and treatment skills that I have developed in manual therapy and exercise prescription over the years of working as a musculoskeletal therapist. I have experience of managing acute and sub-acute sporting injuries, having worked in the past with a premiership rugby team and as part of the physiotherapy team at Cardiff City Football Club, working with academy players.
I have completed my acupuncture foundation course and am trained as an APPI Pilates instructor and I regularly incorporate these assessment and treatment skills into my sessions. I am also trained to deliver extracorporeal shockwave therapy, a highly effective, non-invasive treatment option for clients with plantar fasciitis and tendon conditions.
Outside work, I enjoy keeping fit and spending time with my young family.
