Every course of treatment starts with a 45-minute initial assessment to assess your symptoms, then recommend the right plan for you and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time. *Treatment price does not include specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointments.

How can I help you improve your health?

Kirsty completed her physiotherapy training at the Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in 2003 and gained valuable experience within NHS hospital and GP settings before joining Nuffield Health in 2013. She has undertaken extensive post graduate training in areas including acupuncture, manual therapy and kinesiology taping.

She is experienced in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal problems including spinal and orthopaedic conditions, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and persistent pain. She also has a degree in Sport Rehabilitation and has a particular interest in lower limb rehabilitation.

Jane qualified from Keele University in 1996 with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. Jane worked in NHS outpatient departments and orthopaedic ward settings in the UK and in private practices in Australia.

Jane works as a Physiotherapist at the Nuffield in Chester and has done for the last 16 years and has wide and varied experience. Jane completed a Post-graduate diploma in Manual therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004.

Jane has a keen interest in patients with head, neck and facial pain and also have experience with vestibular rehabilitation therapy. She works closely with the Local Breast surgeon and treats post-operative breast surgery patients.

Jane is a keen runner and coaches male artistic gymnastics.

I specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with a special interest in sports injury prevention and rehabilitation.

I have worked across different NHS sites in the UK, and at a private clinic at the University of Keele. I have also worked abroad at a private clinic in Iceland. Joining Nuffield Health 5 years ago at Aberdeen’s Fitness & Wellbeing Gym I moved to the Chester Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Dec 2014.

I am fully trained in Acupuncture and alongside full-time work I am also studying for an MSc in Neuromuscularskeletal Physiotherapy.

Sports and fitness have always been an important part of my life. Before moving to Iceland I rowed competitively for Royal Chester Rowing Club for many years. I also enjoy racketball and keeping fit.

Amy graduated as a physiotherapist from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2010. Prior to this, she gained a degree in Sports Rehabilitation from the University of Salford. She gained extensive experience in private practice, sports and hospital settings.

Amy joined Nuffield Health in 2017 as a Senior Musculoskeletal physiotherapist and is experienced in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including spinal and sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions and post-operative rehabilitation.

Amy is also an APPI Pilates Instructor teaching regular classes here at Nuffield Chester Fitness and Wellbeing Centre.

Since having a young family, she developed an interest in pelvic health and embarked on increasing her knowledge and skills within this area. Amy’s particular area of clinical expertise lies in treating pelvic floor muscle dysfunction including symptoms of urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and rehabilitation following pelvic floor surgery or hysterectomy. She also specialises in treating pregnancy-related back/pelvic pain.

How can I help you improve your health?

Jenny graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2007 and started in her first post at the University Hospital Aintree NHS Trust later that year.

She gained a wide variety of experience over the 9 years working in the NHS, and as a senior physiotherapist developed a special interest in orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation, in particular total knee and total hip replacements. Jenny also enjoyed working in aquatic therapy in her post, using the properties of exercise in water to benefit the recovery of orthopaedic patients, and undertaking the Intermediate aquatic therapy Course in 2011.

Jenny joined the staff here at Nuffield Health in January 2016, undertaking some outpatient work, but mainly based as our inpatient Physiotherapist on our ward working with patients before and after surgery.

Outside of work, Jenny is a keen baker, making occasion cakes for friends and family and participating in local college courses to improve her techniques. She has also recently started running, undertaking her first ever 10k race this summer raising money for charity.

Llywela graduated from the University of Wales Cardiff 1978 and since qualifying she has worked in both the NHS and Private sectors in South Wales, North wales and the North West.

She has worked in most aspects of physiotherapy over the years and has worked for Nuffield Health for 21 years, mainly on the ward.

Llywela also works in the NHS with rehabilitation and neurological in and outpatients and her main interest is in elective orthopaedic.
