Every course of treatment starts with a 45-minute initial assessment to assess your symptoms, then recommend the right plan for you and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time. *Treatment price does not include specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointments.

Jem has over 8 years of experience working in both the NHS and the private sector. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Hertfordshire University. Upon graduating she completed two years working in the NHS in hospital inpatient settings.

Her passion has always been musculoskeletal outpatients, where she has been working for the past 6 years. She has a keen interest in running-related injuries, anterior cruciate ligament injuries and sports rehabilitation and enjoys getting patients back doing what they love.

Jem’s interests include running, boxing and strength training in the gym.

Kirsty completed her physiotherapy training at the Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in 2003. She gained valuable experience within NHS Hospital and GP settings before joining Nuffield Health in 2013 as a Senior Physiotherapist. Kirsty also has a degree in Sports Rehabilitation.

She has undertaken extensive postgraduate training and has experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal problems.

Kirsty has been the Physiotherapy Manager at Chester Fitness and Wellbeing Centre and Grosvenor Hospital since 2021 and now Specialises in Post-operative Rehabilitation.

Jane qualified from Keele University in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Jane worked in NHS outpatient departments and orthopaedic ward settings in the UK and in private practices in Australia.

Jane has worked as a Physiotherapist at the Nuffield in Chester for the last 16 years and has wide and varied experience. Jane completed a Post-graduate diploma in Manual therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004.

Jane is the In Patient Lead Physiotherapist and has many years of experience in Orthopaedics, post op gynae and post-op Breast Cancer surgery.

Jane is a keen runner and has represented Wales as a Masters Athlete several times over the last few years.

How can I help you improve your health?

Nina specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with a special interest in the foot and ankle, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Before joining Nuffield Health as a Senior Physiotherapist, Nina worked across different NHS sites in the UK, at a private clinic at the University of Keele and abroad at a private clinic in Iceland. Nina joined Nuffield Health Aberdeen’s Fitness and Wellbeing Centre in 2012 and moved to the Chester Fitness and Wellbeing Gym in 2014.

Alongside physio, Nina enjoys Pilates and running and is a keen painter.

How can I help you improve your health?

Amy graduated as a physiotherapist from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2010. Prior to this she gained a degree in Sports Rehabilitation from the University of Salford. She gained extensive experience in private practice, sports and hospital settings.

Amy joined Nuffield Health in 2017 as a Senior Musculoskeletal physiotherapist and is experienced in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including spinal and sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions and post-operative rehabilitation.

Amy is also an APPI Pilates Instructor, teaching regular classes at Nuffield Health Chester Fitness and Wellbeing Centre.

Since having a young family, she developed an interest in pelvic health and embarked on increasing her knowledge and skills within this area. Amy’s particular area of clinical expertise lie in treating pelvic floor muscle dysfunction including symptoms of urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and rehabilitation following pelvic floor surgery or hysterectomy. She also specialises in treating pregnancy-related back/pelvic pain.

How can I help you improve your health?

Jenny graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2007. She gained a wide variety of experience over the 9 years working in the NHS and developed a special interest in orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation, in particular total hip and total knee replacements. Jenny also enjoyed working in aquatic therapy, using the properties of exercise in water to benefit the recovery of orthopaedic patients, and undertaking the Intermediate Aquatic Therapy Course in 2011.

Jenny joined Nuffield Health Chester in January 2016, based on our ward working with patients before and after surgery.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys crocheting, sewing and all things craft. She also enjoys growing fruits and vegetables at her allotment and spending time with her family.

How can I help you improve your health?

Emily qualified from The University of the West of England in Bristol in 2010. She has worked in various roles since then in musculoskeletal outpatients/orthopaedics, community rehab and inpatient orthopaedics in both France and England. She began to specialise in Hand Therapy in 2017 and has completed several courses with the British Association of Hand Therapists. She enjoys treating upper limb conditions as well as hips and knees. She also has a special interest in hypermobility.

In her spare time Emily likes to go mountaineering, climbing and walking. She loves baking and arts and crafts.
