Every course of treatment starts with a 45-minute initial assessment to assess your symptoms, then recommend the right plan for you and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time. *Treatment price does not include specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointments.

How can I help you improve your health?

Claire has been a physiotherapist for 11 years, working in both the NHS and across other Nuffield Health sites such as Edinburgh and East Kilbride before more recently joining our Glasgow Hospital. Being a volunteer physio at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and Claire has extensive experience in treating many conditions from post-operative rehab to occupational and sports injuries in people of all ages.

More recently Claire has developed a special interest in female pelvic health assessment and rehabilitation developing strong working relationships with gynaecologists within the hospital.

Claire is a social animal and has a strong passion for being outdoors. She loves sailing, hillwalking and running.

David qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2007 from the University of Southampton. Since completing his studies David has worked in a range of roles in both Private practice, sports teams and the NHS. His role with Nuffield Health commenced in April 2014 and this has seen him develop skills in the assessment and management of Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal conditions. Currently, he splits his working week between out-patient clinics and supporting the in-patient service at the Nuffield Hospital Glasgow.

With undergraduate studies in Applied Sports Science and his own sporting background in swimming, David has long held a keen interest in Orthopaedic rehabilitation and Sports-related injury. In particular, he applies a strong evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment ensuring the best outcomes are achieved. Will has worked for Nuffield Health for 11 years gaining experience in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient musculoskeletal clinics within our East Kilbride, Giffnock and Glasgow Central gyms as well as our Glasgow Hospital.

Will has a clinical interest in orthopaedics and post-operative rehabilitation and has worked to develop strong working relationships with the West of Scotland’s leading orthopaedic surgeons.

Will leads our Physiotherapy team at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital in addition to maintaining a busy clinical caseload. He is passionate about the implementation of evidence-based practice and providing a positive patient experience to achieve good patient outcomes.

People of all ages experience pelvic floor symptoms, such as incontinence particularly after childbirth, during the menopause and after pelvic surgery for prostate or prolapse problems.

The most common conditions include leaking urine with a cough or sneeze (known as “stress incontinence”), leaking before you reach a toilet (“urge incontinence”) and pelvic organ prolapse (where a lump or bulge is felt in the vagina).

Diane offers holistic assessment of lifestyle and pelvic floor function which includes a physical examination and training program. Diane works closely with urology, gynaecology and colorectal surgeons for pre-hab before and rehab after surgery. She accepts referrals from GPs, consultants and self-referrals.

Iain has been a practising physiotherapist for twenty-five years and is now using this wealth of experience & knowledge of medical, surgical and orthopaedics conditions to assess, diagnose and treat complex hand conditions.

Iain has specialised in hand therapy over the last fourteen years primarily with conditions affecting the upper limb from the shoulder to the hand - the most common musculoskeletal conditions.

He has worked extensively with conditions acquired through overuse and through traumatic injuries which include post-surgical rehabilitation.

He will discuss and formulate appropriate specialised treatment options to ensure reduction of pain, increase in joint range of movement and return of normal function. This may include the fabrication of a thermoplastic splint if required.

Judith qualified as a physiotherapist in 1984 from The Queens College Glasgow and has worked extensively in the NHS, private and corporate sectors. She has been a physiotherapist at the Glasgow Hospital for almost 30 years working across inpatients and outpatients as well as setting up the physiotherapy service at Milngavie Fitness and Wellbeing Centre.

Judith is experienced in many areas of physiotherapy and is happy to treat a wide range of conditions. Her main interests are musculoskeletal problems particularly the spine, shoulder and hip pain, orthopaedic rehabilitation following surgery including hip and knee replacement surgery and spinal surgery. She has developed strong working relationships with a number of Orthopaedic surgeons over her time at Nuffield.

Judith is an APPI Pilates instructor having taught pilates since 2001. She uses modified pilates in many of her treatment programmes and is utilises one-to-one pilates to assist in the management of postural problems, neck pain, low back pain or to supplement a sports training programme.

Judith loves the outdoors and will be found walking her dog, hill climbing or cycling on the forest trails in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National park when not at work.

Cailin qualified as a Prosthetist/Orthotist from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow in 2020 with an MSc. in Prosthetics and Orthotics. She began her clinical career working as an Orthotist in the south of England within a rehabilitation centre. She was responsible for assessing and fitting patients with a wide variety of mobility problems with orthotic devices to improve function and reduce pain.

Cailin joined Nuffield Health Glasgow hospital as a Physiotherapy Assistant in July 2022. Here she is involved in assisting patients on the ward following joint replacements and other orthopaedic surgery with their physiotherapy programmes. Cailin booking appointments and answering queries to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Cailin enjoys interacting with patients and is passionate about delivering high quality patient care. She is always keen to have chat to better understand patients’ needs to deliver person-centred care.

His clinical background ranges from acute stroke, surgical and post-ICU recovery, musculoskeletal, sports, and rheumatology – while utilising strength and conditioning principles as part of his approach to treatment. Chris has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of orthopaedic procedures, musculoskeletal and sports injuries, and long COVID symptoms.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys being active both in and out of the gym - having re-discovered his passion for weightlifting. Chris also enjoys running, playing ice hockey, and hill-walking (weather permitting).
