Every course of treatment starts with a 45-minute initial assessment to assess your symptoms, then recommend the right plan for you and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time. *Treatment price does not include specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointments.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a profession whose aim is to encourage and support the return to normal following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. It can be effective in the treatment of a range of muscle, joint and nerve conditions.

Physiotherapists use a wide range of techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription to maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

We can offer expertise in upper limb and hand rehabilitation, pain management programmes and post-surgical recovery. Many of our therapists are also trained in Pilates, Acupuncture and Joint Manipulation, carrying out thorough biomechanical assessments to enhance and optimize function.

We have strong links with many orthopaedic consultants and have an excellent track record in the rehabilitation of upper and lower limb sports injuries. In addition we can offer pre and post natal treatment and advice as well as vertigo and balance rehabilitation with our vestibular specialist.

Edward completed his MSc in physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia in 2016. He has worked extensively in the NHS, private practice and sport before joining Nuffield Health in 2021. He has undertaken a range of post graduate training in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, hydrotherapy, sports massage & gait analysis. Edward is experienced in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including Orthopaedics, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, persistent pain and occupation health issues. How can I help you improve your health?

Rebecca has a diverse and evolving career in physiotherapy since graduating from the University of Brighton with a BSc in Physiotherapy. After completing her core rotations in the NHS, where she gained experience in neurology, respiratory, and musculoskeletal (MSK) areas, Rebecca discovered a particular passion for MSK physiotherapy. This led her to a role at Nuffield Health, where she now specialises in the rehabilitation of both inpatient and outpatient MSK patients.

In addition to her clinical experience, Rebecca has furthered her expertise by completing the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) Matwork training and examination, becoming a certified APPI Pilates instructor. She incorporates Pilates techniques into her MSK practice to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.

Rebecca also has a keen interest in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and is looking forward to contributing to the development of this service at Nuffield Tunbridge Wells Hospital in 2025, expanding her skill set and service offerings in this important area of physiotherapy

Alex first qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2011. Working initially in the NHS he completed all of his rotations, before specialising in MSK Outpatients. Alex has worked in a variety of private clinics and hospitals, including spending a year working as a Physiotherapist in Australia. Alex has been the Physiotherapy Manager for Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells since February 2022. He specialises in sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation.

Alex qualified as a physiotherapist in 2022 from King's College London. Following her graduation, she gained extensive experience in the NHS, specialising in burns, plastic surgery, head and neck oncology, and hand therapy. To further expand her skills, Alex also took on a role with a rugby club, which sparked her passion for sports rehabilitation.

With her diverse background, Alex has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing post-operative rehabilitation, injury assessment, and exercise prescription. She is dedicated to delivering personalised care, always placing her patients' goals at the centre of their treatment plans.
