I referred myself to Nuffield Health Tees Hospital to see Mr Kalyan due to intense spasmodic pain in the lower back region. After an MRI scan, I was advised to undertake lumbar epidural steroid injections by Mr Kalyan.

After a short painless procedure, I found significant instant relief with a marked reduction in pain, a little soreness and slight twinges. This steadily improved to the point whereby, after a fortnight, apart from some early morning twinges and slight aching, I remained pain free. 

Now, after two months, I have the occasional early morning twinge but no pain and good movement throughout the day. I walk up to a mile most days and can remain standing in a stationary position for some time without experiencing any discomfort.
