Breast reconstruction

A breast reconstruction is an operation to recreate a breast shape after you have had a mastectomy (breast removal). There are two types of breast reduction procedure which include breast reconstruction using implant and breast reconstruction using latissimus dorsi flap.

Endometrial ablation

If you experience heavy periods that do not respond to conservative treatments methods your consultant may recommend endometrial ablation.

Hormonal coil

A hormonal coil is a form of birth control (contraception) called an intrauterine system (IUS).

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) replaces your lost hormones to counteract the effects of the menopause.

Hysterectomy

A hysterectomy involves the surgical removal of a woman's uterus.

Laparoscopy

A laparoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows your consultant to diagnose and treat conditions affecting your abdomen and pelvis.

LLETZ

LLETZ is a common procedure used to remove abnormal cells from the cervix.

Mastectomy (breast removal)

If you are diagnosed with breast cancer your surgeon may recommend removal of your breast. This operation is called a mastectomy.

Myomectomy

Tissue lumps that grow in or around your womb are called fibroids. The procedure to surgically remove fibroids from your womb is called a myomectomy.

Vaginal Prolapse Surgery

When the muscles and ligaments in your vagina become weak the organs (including your bladder, bowel or uterus) they support may push forward or prolapse.
