New research into our biggest personal health concerns has revealed that as we get older, becoming overweight is the number one worry for men and women over 45. Lack of fitness was the second greatest concern, followed by eye health for men and muscular skeletal health for women in that age group.

Almost two thirds (61 per cent) of physiotherapy patients waited a month or more before seeking treatment after sustaining an injury or experiencing pain according to research released today by not-for-profit healthcare organisation Nuffield Health. Of these patients, 35 per cent also thought the injury would heal on its own without treatment.

New data released today by Nuffield Health reveals those who have regular fitness checks are more likely to achieve health goals such as reducing cholesterol, blood pressure and body mass index.
