At Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital, we have a team of expert consultant paediatric surgeons treating medical conditions and general surgery for children of all ages, from little ones to under-18s.

Whether your child needs a check-up or a stay in hospital, we can offer quick, convenient access with same-day appointments. We work closely with parents and guardians to agree the most appropriate treatment for your child. 

We'll ensure your child's stay with us as comfortable as possible and we can happily accommodate a parent staying overnight, and our flexible visiting hours mean you can spend family time together, just like you would at home

We are delighted to offer a comprehensive range of services for children here at Cambridge Hospital.

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital is the only private hospital in the area that can see children of any age, for a variety of conditions. All you need is a referral letter from your GP. You can use your insurance or just pay as you go.

It can be a worrying time when you child isn’t well. We understand that sometimes you don’t want to wait for a diagnosis or perhaps you just want a second opinion.

Staying in the hospital overnight

Children from 0-3 years can be seen for outpatient consultation in our outpatient department and children from 3 years old for diagnostic procedures and inpatient care. For all inpatients, we always ensure we have a fully qualified paediatric nurse to stay with your child and monitor their progress: Paediatric nurses generally hold enhanced paediatric life support qualifications) giving you the reassurance you need that your child is in the best possible hands.

Helping your child feel at home

All our private rooms are en-suite with televisions and we have a special children’s menu and facilities for parents to stay overnight. We have free Wifi available and encourage you to bring in your child’s favourite toys, or electronic equipment to watch films or play games.
